Xtropolis Reloaded

xtropolis.de needs to be redesigned! 12550 visitors since May/2006, okay it isn’t that much but, you know, it’s quality that matters, not quantity. I decided to begin a new era and start a complete redesign, based on wordpress. Static HTML websites are more and more outdatet and flash elements on a website are funny as long as you change these gimmicks frequently. Anyway. My priority is photography and I think wordpress won the race concerning web marketing. The setup should be easy, but… (to be continued)

    Good morning Xtropolis!
    I’ve had a view of your new site and I really like it a lot! There is something I discovered that you might want to consider revising, though:
    When you choose a theme, let’s say “Vampire”, and click on one of the pictures in this category, you can see this particular picture, but hitting the “Next” or “Prev” button doesn’t necessarily get you to another picture within the same category. This is quite confusing, I think. (As soon as I choose a topic, I would like to be able to stick with it and by clicking forward or back see all the other pictures concerning this category…)
    Anyway: Great job on the Website, honey!

    it’s not a bug, it is a feature ;)
    But your right, this one was a main issue and difficult to explain for visitors, because of the worpress-system itself. I would especially like to thank Sudeep and scribu for their support regarding this challenge, therefore: change request closed.(Yeah)
    We both should toast to this, X-Berg or downtown? :)
